Berserker 1.5 Epic
Raging Taelosian Alloy Axe (18398)
You must have completed the Berserker 1.0 Epic to begin this quest. The 1.0 bypass aka 1.5 prequest is not available on EQTitan server.
If you have completed Berserker Epic 1.5 and lost or deleted the axe, hail Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen or Teekan Opousbabolaoi in The Abysmal Sea to replace it
Pre-Farm List
Step 1 Brewing
- Skill up Brewing to 125 - minimum skill requirement for Taelosian Tea Extract
Step 2 Collecting Items
Before beginning any quest dialogue collect the following items:
- 4 x
Cragbeast Blood (63832) dropped - Tradable - bazaar
- Drops from Cragbeasts in Gates of Discord zones - rare drop
- Most seem to be in Kod'Taz, Yxxta, or the Tipt instance
- This drop will take a long time so be patient
- Tipt has a mini Cragbeast event that spawns roughly 6 Cragbeasts each run in addition to normal Cragbeast trash spawns - can take around 20 runs to get all 4
- 4 x Hynid Blood (63831) dropped - Tradable - bazaar
- Drops from Hynids In Gates of Discord zones - uncommon drop
- Natimbi and Kod'Taz have many spawns or Tipt instance
- 4 x
Shimmering Aligned Ore (58080) dropped - Tradable - bazaar
- Random trash drop - rare drop
- Best zones to farm this are Kod'Taz, Qvic, and Yxtta
- 2 x
Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves (58148) dropped - Tradable - bazaar
- Drops in Kod'Taz, Qvic, or Yxtta off trash mobs - uncommon drop
- 4 x
Sacred Water (16245) dropped - No Trade
- Do not drink them
- Drops off "Valor Armor" graphic mobs in Plane of Valor (race Knight of Marr) - uncommon to common drop
- Valorian Guards and named that look similar
- 4 x
Taelosian Fern Sample (16949) - No Trade
- Ground spawns in Kod'Taz (2 locs) and Yxtta (4 locs)
- Nearby bush can make it difficult to click the ground spawn item - try first person view and movew around
Step 3 Combine
- Find Galidnus Corkpopper in The Abysmal Sea
- Give Galidnus Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves (58148) dropped to receive 2 x
Taelosian Mountain Tea (58147)
- Turn them in one at a time
- Turn in twice to get 4 tea total
- Alternately a player can do this conversion at a slightly better ratio after completing a quest and doing many combines (just use the npc)

- Combine Sacred Water (16245) dropped and Taelosian Mountain Tea (58147) in a Brew Barrel to create

- Combine all 4 this way, you will need 4 x Taelosian Tea Extract (15781) total
- Minimum skill 125 Brewing is required to do the combine

Step 4 Hometown Guildmaster
Talking to Keras in this step is completely optional - conversation only
The flag from the guild master is required to continue the quest

- Find a Berserker Guildmaster in one of the following hometowns (can use Find)
- Troll: Daboo Dogak in Grobb
- Barbarian: Shanis MacDarren in Halas
- Dwarf: Dravel Axethrasher in North Kaladim
- Ogre: Baddi Waca in Oggok
- Vah Shir: Vrasha Piennsa in The City of Shar Vahl
- Hail the Guildmaster to receive
Raging Soul Shard (11999) and a character flag (required flag)
- Optional: Find Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
- Optional: hail, "matters", "much more", "materials", "ore", "blood", "extracts", "durable weapon"
Step 5 Lake of Ill Omen
- Find Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
- Give Keras the items collected in Step 2
- Hail Keras to receive a character flag and four tempered ores:
Step 6 Plane of Knowledge
- Find Baeldarr Hawkeye in Plane of Knowledge - behind blacksmithing building - see map
- Give Baeldarr the four Taelosian Tempered Ores from Step 5 to receive a character flag
Step 7 Dranik's Scar
- Go to Dranik's Scar
- Collect 4 x
Darkwood Sapling Branch (17286) - not tradable
- Ground spawns - 20 min respawn
- Only three locations:
- -20y 1005x
- -650y -400x
- -1250y -1217x
Step 8 Plane of Knowledge
- Return to Baeldarr Hawkeye in Plane of Knowledge
- Must turn in Step 6 before he will accep the branches
- Give Baeldarr 4 x Darkwood Sapling Branch (17286) to receive a character flag and four axes:
Step 9 Sebilis Trial
- Go to Old Sebilis Juggernaut area - see map
- Bring a raid
- Near -200x -1560y
- Killing all four sebilite juggernaut in Old Sebilis in the room spawns the event
- All four dead at the same time - 10 minute respawn - increased to two hours when the protector spawns
- Requires Berserker on this step (flag from Step 8) in the area
- Despawns if not engaged within two minutes
- Spawns An Ancient Sebilite Protector in Old Sebilis
- Also spawns A Sebilite Guardian in Old Sebilis and A Sebilite Guardian in Old Sebilis
- Testing the Axes
- Only one Berserker can get credit for this event per spawn (two hour respawn)
- The first Berserker on hate list, targeting the protector, in range and on this step (flag from Step 8) will be selected with a message saying their name
- The selected Berserker must stay alive - if killed they will not be able to test more axes until the next respawn
- The selected Berserker must be close to the protector (25) and have melee auto attack turned on
- The Ancient Sebilite Protector must be below 75% to test the axes
- Equip one of the four axes given in Step 8 and use it to attack the Ancient Sebilite Protector
- While attacking there is a chance to "break" the axe, removing it and replacing with another item
- Watch for an emote message and then swap axes
- Repeat this process for all four trial axes
- If the selected Berserker dies or the event fails, the "broken" axes do not need to be re-tested and the remaining unbroken trial axes can be done after the event respawns
- The ancient protector and guardians can be killed after all four trial axes have "broken"
- Once all four axes have "broken" and replaced you can leave the zone without killing the protector and guardians (no chest loot)
- Chance to spawn a chest with extra loot once all four axes have been tested and the Protector killed
- Encounter Details
- Protector max hit: 1600
- The Guardians cannot be killed until Protector is killed
- Protector casts:
- Death Shackles (2047) Single Target, 8 sec stun, 300DD, unresistable
- Guardians cast:
- Blurring Focus (4123) NPC Hatelist, -50% Spell Haste, -200 Atk, Dispel, Chromatic Based
- Curse of the Protector (6100) PBAE, 2500 DD, -1000 Mana Drain/tick, -45 stats, Curse Cure, Disease Based
- Complete Heal (1292) heals Protector
Step 10 Lake of Ill Omen
- Return to Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
- Give Keras the 4 Axes to receive a character flag and
Taelosian Alloy Blood Axe (18976)
Step 11 Abysmal Sea
- Find Teekan Opousbabolaoi in The Abysmal Sea
- Give Teekan Raging Soul Shard (11999) and Taelosian Alloy Blood Axe (18976) to receive your Epic 1.5 Raging Taelosian Alloy Axe (18398)!
