To begin this quest you must have completed the Berserker 1.5 Epic quest.

Pre-Lootable Steps

• Step 5 - Lightning Core (Anguish/Muramite Proving Grounds)
• Step 10 - Globe of Discordant Energy (Anguish)

Step 1 - Lake of Ill Omen

• Return to Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
• Hail and say "troubled" (optional)
• Say "find out" to receive a character flag (required first step)

Step 2 - The Hole

• Find Julei Direaxe in The Hole (two hour respawn)
• Hail and she will stand up and start walking away
• After a moment she warps to Paineel zone line (for 20 minutes)
• Hail her near Paineel to receive Julei's Twilight Pendant (17200)

Step 3 - Lake of Ill Omen

• Return to Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
• Give him Julei's Twilight Pendant (17200) to receive a character flag
• Say "enhance my axe", "items of power", "gems", "metals" (optinal)

Step 4 - Steamfont Mountains

• Find Greeble Blacktoe in Steamfont Mountains
• Hail (optional)
• Say "power my axe" to receive a character flag

Step 5 - Lightning Core

• Obtain a Lightning Core (72029) dropped a rare drop from lightning type npcs in Anguish or Muramite Proving Grounds

Step 6 - Bloodfields

• Find Tarvash Scriller in The Bloodfields
• Hail and say "information" (optional)
• Give 5 platinum (or 50 gold) to receive a character flag
• Give 50 platinum to receive another character flag

Step 7 - Nobles' Causeway

• Kill Bazu Smasher in Nobles' Causeway with a raid
  • Casts 5558 Bazu Stomp (PBAE DD and 1sec Stun)
  • Spawns 2 #Bazu_Hulk (303106) every 10% health
    • Casts 1154 Black Symbol of Anguish (Single Target HP and Mana DOT)
    • Casts 5559 Bazu Breath (AE DD and DOT)
  • Locks hp at 10% until all Bazu Hulks are dead
• Loot Faceted Moonstone (17349) dropped (must be on step)

Step 8 - Ruined City of Dranik

• Find Grithyank Avlonnon in The Ruined City of Dranik
• Hail and say "enhance my axe" (optional)
• Say "wish to learn more" to receive a character flag

Step 9 - Grieg's End

• Kill an ancient necromantic shade in Grieg's End with a raid
  • Four a shrouded minion in Grieg's End auto aggro
• Loot Shadowed Bronze Lump (17137) (must be on step - chance to spawn chest)

Step 10 - Anguish

• Raid Anguish, the Fallen Palace and obtain a Globe of Discordant Energy (47100) dropped
• Drops from the following events:
  • Keldovan the Harrier/Jelvan (only one of the two based on who you kill last)
  • Warden Hanvar/Ture (only one of the two based on who you kill last)
  • Arch Magus Vangl
  • Overlord Mata Muram

Step 11 - Lake of Ill Omen

• Return to Keras McArik in Lake of Ill Omen
• Give him the following items to receive a character flag and Unhoned Vengeful Taelosian Blood Axe (20072)
  • Lightning Core (72029) dropped
  • Faceted Moonstone (17349) dropped
  • Shadowed Bronze Lump (17137)
  • Raging Taelosian Alloy Axe (18398) merchant (Epic 1.5)

Step 12 - Ruined City of Dranik

• Return to Grithyank Avlonnon in The Ruined City of Dranik
• Hail (optinal)
• Give him Unhoned Vengeful Taelosian Blood Axe (20072) and Globe of Discordant Energy (47100) dropped to receive your epic 2.0 Vengeful Taelosian Blood Axe (18609)
