Druid 1.5 Epic

Staff of Living Brambles (62863)

You must have completed the Druid 1.0 Epic to begin this quest. The 1.0 bypass aka 1.5 prequest is not available on EQTitan server.

Step 1 Forage

1. Go to Rathe Mountains and forage Sickly Maiden's Hair (62810).

Step 2 Althele

1. Find Althele in Eastern Plains of Karana.
2. Say "out of balance" (required)
3. Give her Sickly Maiden's Hair (62810) to receive Tuft of Sickly Maiden's Hair (62811).

Step 3 Niera

1. Locate Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
2. Give her Tuft of Sickly Maiden's Hair (62811) to receive Waterproof Collection Bag (62812). (4-slot container)

Step 4 Foragers

1. Go to Lake of Ill Omen with a small group.
2. When a druid on this step of the quest enters the zone, one a bloodgill forager in Lake of Ill Omen and two a bloodgill forager in Lake of Ill Omen spawn at the bottom of the lake.
3. To get to where the foragers are you'll need to go *under* the giant dome. To do this go to to southeast side of the dome. Along the lake floor there will be an opening you can squeeze under. It is not a door and is not obvious at first glance (see map).
4. Kill them and loot Handful of Diseased Maiden's Hair (62825).

Step 5 Frontier Mnts

1. Find Finrin Talister in Frontier Mountains.
2. Say "victim" (required)

Step 6 Foraging

1. Get Brewing to 60: ​Brewing Guide.
2. Obtain the following items:

• Cactus Pulp (14934) (tradable) foraged in North Ro. EDIBLE
• Emerald Leaves (62834) (tradable) foraged in Emerald Jungle.
• Emerald Moss (62856) (no drop) foraged in Emerald Jungle. (Optional at this point - used in Step 39)
• Lichenclover (12633) dropped (tradable) foraged in Field of Bone, Firiona Vie or Frontier Mountains or drop from drolvarg growler in Firiona Vie.
• Water Flask (13006) dropped merchant bought from many vendors.

3. Combine Cactus Pulp, Emerald Leaves, Lichenclover and Water Flask in a Brewing Barrel to create Green Body Paint (62832).

Step 7 Looting

1. Farm the following from any goblin in Frontier Mountains or Droga. All four items are tradable.

• Copper Armband (62830) x2
• Carved Wooden Mask (62831)
• Goblin Loincloth (62833)
• Green Goblin Skin (22135) dropped

2. Combine those five items in a sewing kit or loot to create Poor Goblin Disguise (62835). No-Fail Combine.

Step 8 Goblin Language

1. Get to 100 at the Goblin Language. You can train 1 point at your Guildmaster then spam group chat in Goblin to get up to 100.

Step 9 Goblin Event

1. Go to Frontier Mountains with a group at night. (7pm to 4am in game /time)
2. Go to the cave entrance to The Temple of Droga. (Within 50 of 2878x 3444y)
3. Click Poor Goblin Disguise (62835) (no illusion, just a buff) and then in Goblin language (with no npcs targeted) /say start the contest
4. Goblin King Dronan in Frontier Mountains will spawn and the event will start shortly. There is a one hour cooldown on starting the event.
5. After some dialog (sped up for EqTitan), four Goblin Hider in Frontier Mountains spawn at random points in the zone. Periodically they will randomly port to a random spot. (Even if engaged.)
6. Periodically, a group of five Goblin Seeker in Frontier Mountains will spawn at the cave and path randomly around the zone.
7. Find the Hider and kill it to loot Bag of Diseased Maiden's Hair (62826). Only one of the four Hiders will have the hair but they do not respawn.

Step 10 Cobalt Scar

1. Find Blumblum Swigwater in Cobalt Scar on the beach. Note: he is on Othmir faction so you may need to grind faction to non-kos.
2. Say "fair deal" (required).

Step 11 Ulthork Raider

1. Go to Eastern Wastes with a group.
2. When a Druid zones in on this step of the quest, Ulthork Raider in Eastern Wastelands with two an ulthork man o war in Eastern Wastelands will spawn. Note: currently you have to be in zone for 10 minutes before ulthork will spawn, this may change.
3. Kill them and loot Carved Prexus Totem (62821).

Step 12 Cobalt Scar

1. Return to Blumblum Swigwater in Cobalt Scar.
2. Give him Carved Prexus Totem (62821) to receive Small Trigger Fish (62820).

Step 13 Fishing Skill

1. Train Fishing Skill to 20. With points from Guildmaster (dont spend them all) or fishing in water.
2. Buy a Tackle Box (17048) merchant from Daeld Atand in Plane of Knowledge or other npc merchants.

Step 14 Tasec

1. Find Tasec Dreeng in The Abysmal Sea.
2. Buy Gutting Knife (62823) merchant.
3. Combine Gutting Knife (62823) merchant and Small Trigger Fish (62820) in a Tackle Box (17048) merchant to create Soggy Maiden's Hair (62824).

Step 15 Bouncer Flerb

1. Ensure you have a Wolf illusion spell, one of:

• Spell: Wolf Form (15425) merchant
• Spell: Share Wolf Form (15428) merchant
• Spell: Greater Wolf Form (15426) merchant

2. Find Bouncer Flerb in The Feerrott.
3. While in Wolf form, hail him to receive Hunk of Alligator Scales (62814).
4. After he gives you the scales, his level will increase and he will attack. You do not need to kill him.

Step 16 Niera

1. Return to Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
2. Give her Hunk of Alligator Scales (62814) to receive Cleaned Alligator Scales (62817).
3. Say "idea" (required)

Step 17 Pottery Leveling

Step 18 NPC Drops

1. Loot the following items:

• Piranha Meat (62816) dropped (Lore) from Piranha in Cazic Thule
• Chunk of Broken Taelosian Stone Worker (58027) dropped from Golems in Barindu or Riwwi

2. Locate Malkidiv U`Ycionuz in The Abysmal Sea.
3. Give him Chunk of Broken Taelosian Stone Worker (58027) dropped to receive Clump of Refined Taelosian Clay (58032).

Step 19 Pottery Combine

1. Combine the following items in a Kiln. Min skill required 100.

• Water Flask (13006) dropped merchant
• Piranha Meat (62816) dropped
• Clump of Refined Taelosian Clay (58032)
• Cleaned Alligator Scales (62817)

to create Feerrott Alligator Charm (62815).

Step 20 Swamp Terror (not edited)

1. Ensure you have a Charm Animal spell such as Spell: Befriend Animal (15245) merchant.
2. Take a group to Feerott.
3. Equip Feerrott Alligator Charm (62815).
4. Charm a swamp alligator in The Feerrott.
5. Head towards the broken pillar near Temple of Cazic Thule. (You can cast SoW on the alligator.)
6. Swamp Terror in The Feerrott will spawn under the pillar.
7. Kill the terror and loot Mangled Head (62818) and Partially Digested Maiden's Hair (62819).

Step 21 Niera Combines

1. Combine the following in Waterproof Collection Bag (62812):

• Bag of Diseased Maiden's Hair (62826)
• Handful of Diseased Maiden's Hair (62825)
• Soggy Maiden's Hair (62824)
• Partially Digested Maiden's Hair (62819)

to receive Sealed Collection Bag (62813).

2. Return to Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
3. Give Sealed Collection Bag (62813) to Niera to receive Wash Cloth (62847). (1 slot container)
4. Combine Mangled Head (62818) in Wash Cloth (62847) to create Wrapped Mangled Head (62848).
5. Give Wrapped Mangled Head (62848) to Niera to receive Mangled Head (62827). (2 slot container)

Step 22 Plane of Knowledge

1. Locate Gravelady Beddia in Plane of Knowledge in the evil area.
2. Say "sacrifice" (required)
3. Locate Pathfinder Arelat in Plane of Knowledge in the library and sells Ranger spells.
4. Say "worth it" to receive three books:

• Fresh Awakenings vol. 1 (62839)
• Fresh Awakenings vol. 2 (62840)
• Fresh Awakenings vol. 3 (62841)

5. Return to Gravelady Beddia in Plane of Knowledge.
6. Give Beddia the three Fresh Awakenings books to receive Healing Plants (62842).

Step 23 Niera

1. Return to Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
2. Give Niera Healing Plants (62842) to receive Niera's Healing Notes (62849).

Step 24 Freeport

1. Locate Soulbinder Grunson in East Freeport.
2. Say "mangled head" to Grunson. (optional)
3. Say "one" to Grunson. (required)
4. Locate Caskin Marsheart in North Freeport. North Freeport, not East Freeport.
5. Say "friend" to Caskin and follow dialog or skip it by saying "mad". (required)

Step 25 Madman

1. Locate a madman in Northern Desert of Ro with a group. (cons indifferent)
2. Say "are you geadin". (optional)
3. Say "soul binding". (optional)
4. Say "do this". (required)
5. The following mobs will spawn one at a time in order. Kill them. They will despawn after 10 minutes. Only the Druid that said "do this" will get credit but can be done multiple times.

• a haunt in Northern Desert of Ro
• a spirit in Northern Desert of Ro
• a guardian tormentor in Northern Desert of Ro
• a lamented knight in Northern Desert of Ro

6. Say "still desire it" to a madman to receive Soul Stone (62836).

Step 26

This event can take up to 20 minutes (give or take).

1) Create two hotkeys

Hotkey 1:

/say i am on the job

Hotkey 2:

/say Yo ho. No sun!

WARNING - THIS SCRIPT IS VERY PICKY/BUGGY

2) Go to Toxxulia Forest and locate a skeleton near the Paineel zone line. Speak to the one on the right (when facing Paineel) and say "animated heads", then wait for their conversation and follow along with the [] responses then say "i will do it" to receive Worthless Mining Pick. Equip the Worthless Mining Pick in your weapon slot. At this point the skeletons will run off and you'll see the following emote:

Once you have the Worthless Mining Pick.

3) Here is what happens: abandoned heretic pet will spawn and despawn every 2 minutes per cycle. Every time you see him he will spawn out in the grass and walk in towards you. Once he reaches you he will do this emote:

As soon as you see his emote - you only have 5 seconds to say what you need to say

• you need to target the abandoned heretic pet and say "i am on the job". Once you say that then he will make a comment about you (a druid) wanting to be a miner (shown in screenshot above). This is a good message. If you don't say it immediately (within a few seconds) you will fail the event. You only need to do this once every time he spawns. He will despawn after a minute or two. Do not use /target on the abandoned heretic pet while he is still pathing towards you, target him when he is up close. If you /target when he isn't close yet, then your phrase might not register correctly and you will fail. Again, this NPC needs to be targeted when you say the phrase "i am on the job".

All other times you should be spamming Hotkey 2. Make sure to be standing right where the skeleton you talked to was originally standing (a bit different from pictures below).

4) When spamming Hotkey 2 you should see:

5) Recap: Every time abandoned heretic pet spawns and says:

Abandoned heretic pet says, 'Speed up the digging my pets!'

Abandoned heretic pet says, 'Who on Bertoxulous' blistered backside are you? Where did those fools go off to?'

You say "i am on the job" once.

He will respond: Abandoned heretic pet shouts, 'Well I'll be, a druid that wants to be a miner! Alright then, you keep at it. Don't break a nail or strain your delicate sensibilities!'

Do this only once per spawn to let him know you're the miner. Otherwise spam constantly Hotkey 2.

Unfortunately, you have to do this for up to 15 minutes.

• Once the heretic pet spawns and despawns 5 times you are done spamming and can wait for the skeletons to return Spam Hotkey 2 the whole time. Eventually a skeleton will return - /hail and it will and give you an emote and Animating Heads:

If you fail this step, it will reset and be ready to try again in 10-15 minutes

Step 27 Feerott

1. Return to the fallen pillar in Feerrott where the Swamp Terror spawned. (-88x -450y)
2. Combine Soul Stone (62836) and Animating Heads (62828) in Mangled Head (62827) to receive Mangled Head (62827) and Animating Heads (62828) back.
3. If combined at the proper location, ERROR invalid NPC id 47211 will spawn on the pillar/bridge.
4. Tell the corrupted spirit "who are you", "disease", "plague". (optional)
5. Tell the corrupted spirit "show it" to receive Disease Rune (62837) (required). TEMPORARY ITEM Do step 28 immediately.
6. The rest of the dialog with the corrupted spirit is optional.

Step 28 Combine

1. Combine Disease Rune (62837) and Animating Heads (62828) in (([Item(62827, mangled head)]] to create Runed Skull (62838).

Step 29 Niera

1. Return to Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
2. Give Niera Niera's Healing Notes (62849) and Runed Skull (62838) to receive Niera's Research Notes (62843).

Step 30 PoJustice

1. Ensure you have an animal charm spell Spell: Beguile Animals (15141) merchant (level 33) or higher.
2. Locate Great Bear in The Plane of Justice and charm it.
3. Hail the charmed Great Bear pet and say "Tribute of the Dawn" (optional)
4. Give the charmed Great Bear pet Niera's Research Notes (62843) to receive [((Item(62844, Red Dogwood Seed)))] and Living Brambles Seed (62845).

Step 31 Niera

1. Return to Niera Farbreeze in Surefall Glade.
2. Give Niera [((Item(62844, Red Dogwood Seed)))] and Living Brambles Seed (62845) to receive Living Brambles Seed (62850) (protected) and Mind Crystal (62846).

Step 32 South Qeynos

1. Locate a furtive figure in South Qeynos with a small group in Lion's Mane Inn.
2. As you approach him your Mind Crystal with emote.
3. Kill him and loot Hasty Note (62851).

Step 33

Take a group to South Karana and head to the Druid Ruins in the Southwest (-6000, - 3300). At 12AM gametime 3 NPC's will spawn just south of the Ruins: Finnelzi Springworthy, Rendolf Deathbringer, Tehana Elsent. You will need to kill them. They apparently despawn at 1AM so you'll need to aggro them quick.

You can potentially solo them but it would be easier if you had a couple friends to help. Kill all 3.

Loot 3x Crystal Fragment, 1 from each corpse.

*You'll also see two other NPC's that are level 1. Just ignore them*

Step 34 West Freeport

1. Locate Shana Liskia in West Freeport. She is inside the big dome on the 2nd floor. You'll need to take a teleport pad up.
2. Give Shana 3x Crystal Fragment (62852). (unstacked)
3. She will return the three crystal fragments along with Small Padded Bag (62853).

Step 35 (not edited)

Go to Harbringer's Spire with a group. Go to the room on the left from the zone in (see map). When you (as the Druid doing their epic) get close to this room Azibelle Spavin and Glenfire Tel'Zir spawn. They hit for 900+ each and have low HP. Kill them and loot 3 shards: Azibelle's Crystal Fragment, Bohab's Crystal Fragment, Glenfire's Crystal Fragment.

Step 36 Combine

1. Combine the six fragments in Small Padded Bag (62853) to receive Full Padded Bag (62854).

Step 37 West Freeport

1. Return to Shana Liskia in West Freeport.
2. Give Shana Full Padded Bag (62854) to receive Bowl of Foul-smelling Liquid (62855).

Step 38 Abysmal

1. Locate Silanda Leafdew in The Abysmal Sea on the ship deck.
2. Say "stabalizer" and "mind crystal". (optional)
3. Give Silanda Mind Crystal (62846) and she will return it. (required)

Step 39 Forage

1. Go to Emerald Jungle and forage Emerald Moss (62856) (no drop) May have already foraged in Step 6.

Step 40 (not edited)

CHEST

Go to Natimbi, the Broken Shores with a group or two. Head over to the ramp near the Kod'Taz stone to start an event. Clear the reborns on the platform nearby. Then begin to kill Ritual Conduit. At Low HP it turns into Noc Juggernaut. Loot Energized Noc Blood. A chest also spawns with extra loot.

Step 41 Combine

1. Combine the following three items in Item62855, bowl of foul-smelling liquid)?

• Emerald Moss (62856)
• Energized Noc Blood (62889)
• Mind Crystal (62846)

to receive Clear Mind Crystal (62857).

Step 42 Abysmal

1. Return to Silanda Leafdew in The Abysmal Sea.
2. Give Silanda Clear Mind Crystal (62857) and she will return it. (required)

Step 43 (not edited)

Go to The Ruined City of Dranik with a small raid (4-5 groups). Head to the Red Circle on the map in the east tunnels. At that point you'll get an emote (dranik emote) and A cracked earthshaker spawns. Kill it and loot Chunk of Energized Clay.

Step 44 (not edited)

Take a raid force to Kithikor Forest and find Blackened Treant near the lake. Kill it. Hits around 1k. Low HP. When it dies 10x Blacked Tree Limb spawn. They hit for around 400 each. When those die Blackened Dryad spawns. She casts lots of various spells. Kill her and loot Blackened Earth.

Step 45 Pottery

1. Buy one Aerated Pot Sketch (62858) merchant in Abysmal Sea from either Hiloan O`Yviania in The Abysmal Sea or Malkidiv U`Ycionuz in The Abysmal Sea.
2. Combine the following in a Pottery Wheel:

• Water Flask (13006) dropped merchant
• Block of Clay (16901) dropped merchant
• Aerated Pot Sketch (62858) merchant

to create Aerated Pot Shell (62860).

3. Combine the following in a Kiln:

• Aerated Pot Shell (62860)
• Chunk of Energized Clay (62859)

to create Reinforced Aerated Pot (62861). (4 slot container)

Step 46 Final Combine

1. Combine the following in Reinforced Aerated Pot (62861):

• Living Brambles Seed (62850)
• Clear Mind Crystal (62857)
• Blackened Earth (62862)

to receive your Druid Epic 1.5 Staff of Living Brambles (62863)!
