Magician 1.5 Epic Guide
Staff of Elemental Essence
You must have completed the Magician 1.0 Epic to begin this quest. The 1.0 bypass aka 1.5 prequest is not available on EQTitan server.

- Step 2 - Loot Journal of Magus Tvish from Danvi's Corpse in Akheva Ruins
- Step 6 - Loot Book of Bindings and Incantations (ground spawn) in Charasis
- Step 7 - Kill Grigor Rojha in The Deep and loot Codex of Ice and Ether
- Step 14 - Loot 4x Ice Burrower Meat from an ice burrower in Western Wastes
- Step 15 Part 4 - Loot Diaku Foraged Maul from an ogre in PoTactics
- Step 15 Part 5 - Loot Metallic Liquid (PoValor), Hydrolyzed Ether (PoStorms), Heavy Water (Ferubi)
- Step 15 Part 6 - Get Brewing to 100+
Step 1
Go to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Say "pieces" to receive 
Tattered Note.
Step 2
Go to Akheva Ruins and locate Danvi's Corpse (+1350, -1380). Once you find it type /open. Loot 
Journal of Magus Tvish. You won't be able to open it in combat, so bring a a few people to help clear if you need help getting here.
Step 3
Go back to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Give him Journal of Magus Tvish to receive emote:
Step 4
Go to Western Wastes and locate a Lost Tomekeeper (+4500, +1900). Say "violet roses" to receive
Tome of Primal Fires.
While here you can also farm for 
4x Ice Burrower Meat from an ice burrower. This will be used later in the quest. You will want to bring a tracker to speed this up. They have a long respawn so it's best to kill what's already spawned then come back later. We will go over this again later in the guide

Step 5
Go back to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Give him Tome of Primal Fires to receive emote:
Say "ascend beyond"
Say "two books"
Step 6
Go to Charasis (Howling Stones) and loot the ground spawn 
Book of Bindings and Incantations. It is in the East Wing on a table.
Step 7
Go to The Deep with a group and locate Grigor Rojha. He is invisible and is located near the Ssraeshza Temple zone line. Kill him and loot 
Codex of Ice and Ether.
Casts Fiery Assault (PBAE, 7.5 second Spin Stun, 500 DD, Fire Based)
Casts Nova Inferno (PBAE, 2000 DD, Fire Based)
Step 8
Go back to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Give him Book of Bindings and Incantations and Codex of Ice and Ether to receive:
Step 9
Go to Butcherblock Mountains and locate Walnan. She roams in the Northwest side of the zone in early TLP. Later in TLP she stands at a static spot at +1785, +1900. See the two circles on the map.
"Hail" her
Say "bantil"
Step 10
Go to Commonlands and locate Jahsohn Aksot. He usually roams along the road. A tracker helps.
"Hail" him
Say "bantil"
Step 11
Go to Najena and locate Akksstaff (+375, -75) with a group. Say "bantil" to him. Earth Elemental mobs will begin to spawn. Kill them as they come. I got four in a row that seem to spawn on a timer. They hit for around 800. Once they stop spawning say "demise" to Akksstaff to receive Sentience of Elements.
Step 12
Go back to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Give him Sentience of Elements to receive emote:
Say "power"
Step 13 - 16
You'll need to collect 4x Elemental Essences. These are all sub-quests. Steps 13 - 16 can be done in any order.
Step 13
Elemental Essence of Air
1) Locate Sarhya the Dawnbreeze in Plane of Tranqulity (outside Plane of Air). Say "elemental essences" to receive emote:
2) Go to Nobles' Causeway with a medium to large raid. Locate Elemental Essence of Air. You can spawn it by going to one of the Red Circles on the map. They might not all work, but one of them will. When it does, you'll see emote:
Once you get the emote go to the Purple Circle. Elemental Essence of Air spawns there. This event can be somewhat difficult. Be invisible so it does not attack you as soon as it spawns. It splits every 20% or so into multiple adds. The adds cast spin-stun. You need to kill the adds and the boss will respawn. It does this about 5 times. Rinse and repeat until it's dead and loot the item: Elemental Essence of Air.
Step 14
Elemental Essence of Water
1) Go to Western Wastes with a tracker and loot 4x Ice Burrower Meat. They drop somewhat commonly from an ice burrower. These are only a few of these up at a time so it may take you a while to get all of them. What I did was bind here, killed/looted what was up, then came back every hour or so later to check for more. It took me a few hours to get all 4 using this method.
2) Locate Jurmak the Undertow in Plane of Tranquility (outside Plane of Water). Say "elemental essences" to receive emote:
3) Go to Cobalt Scar with a group and locate High Priest Margle on the beach. Give him 4x Ice Burrower Meat. This will spawn Tiknonmanin in the water. Kill Tiknonmanin and loot Elemental Essence of Water.
Step 15
Elemental Essence of Fire
1) Locate Miak the Searedsoul in Plane of Tranqulity (outside Plane of Fire). Say "elemental essences" to receive emote:
2) Go to Plane of Tactics and locate Gnaap Guinders. See map. He is sitting behind some rocks. Say "steel" to receive

3) While still in Plane of Tactics, look for Ogres holding a Maul. Kill it and loot 
Diaku Forged Maul.
4) Go back to Plane of Tranquility and locate Bor Wharhammer. Give him Diaku Forged Maul and
Note from Gnapp to receive 
Reinforced Flask.
5) Gather 3 Items:
Metallic Liquid (Tradable)- Uncommon Drop in Plane of Valor from most mobs up top. Uncommon Drop
Hydrolyzed Ether (Tradable) - Drops off many mobs in Plane of Storms. I got mine in the desert area off a giant. Uncommon Drop.
Heavy Water (No Trade) - Drops off a corrupted turepta in Ferubi. They can be found in the middle of the zone in the water.
6) Get Brewing to 100+: Brewing Guide
7) Combine the following in a Brewing Barrel to create 
Corrosive Solution
- Reinforced Flask
- Metallic Liquid
- Hydrolyzed Ether
- Heavy Water
8) Go back to Plane of Tactics with a few groups and locate Gnaap Guinders. Give him Corrosive Solution. He will walk to the room north of him and Elemental Essence of Fire (elemental) will spawn. Kill it and loot 
Elemental Essence of Fire.
Step 16
Elemental Essence of Earth
1) Locate Taq`aal Emeraldshard in Plane of Tranquility (outside Plane of Earth). Say "elemental essences" to receive emote:
2) Go to Mons Letalis with a raid and locate Elemenetal Essence of Earth. It will spawn when you zone in. It is at the top of the tower in the middle of the zone. You can get there through the cave entrance.
It does a knockback so don't get knocked off the tower. Hits 1600+. Kill it and loot Elemental Essence of Earth.
Step 17
Go back to Plane of Knowledge and locate Bantil Io`Tuv. He is on the Top level of the library, but not up the elevator. Give him:
Elemental Essence of Fire
Elemental Essence of Water
Elemental Essence of Air
Elemental Essence of Earth
to receive your 1.5 Epic: Staff of Elemental Essence!
