Donors Only - If you use Miragul's spirit in Thundercrest Isle, you will be in Timorous Deep. You can then Evacuate on a Wizard or Succor on a Druid to have access to the Timorous Deep zone.

Step 1

Kill Sir Edwin Motte in Rathe Mountains. Edwin spawns as part of a NPC spawn cycle inside an inn at the hill giant area of the zone. Edwins PH's will spawn and despawn on their own every minute or so. Some of them stay up longer, some of them shorter. You don't need to kill any of them. Eventually Edwin will spawn. Loot Head of Sir Edwin Motte (20641) dropped.

Step 2

Find Kazen Fecae in Lake Rathetear. Give Kazen Head of Sir Edwin Motte (20641) dropped to receive Symbol of the Apprentice (20642).

Step 3

pictures need updated. the mobs in these pictures don't drop this item on EQTitan Obtain a Flowing Black Robe (1320) dropped. You can get one from Najena in Najena or Vekis in Firiona Vie. Can also check the bazaar.

Step 4

Find Venenzi Oberzendi in The Nektulos Forest. First, give Venenzi Symbol of the Apprentice (20642) to receive Twisted Symbol of the Apprentice (20643). Next, give Venenzi Flowing Black Robe (1320) dropped to receive Rolling Stone Moss (20649).

Step 5

Find Emkel Kabae in Lake Rathetear. Emkel is on the southeast island. Give Emkel Twisted Symbol of the Apprentice (20643) and Rolling Stone Moss (20649) to receive Symbol of the Serpent (20644).

Step 6

Kill Grand Herbalist Mak`ha in Chardok. Mak`ha spawns in the "herbalist" room within the tunnels. Loot Manisi Herb (20654) dropped. Rare spawn. Rare Drop. Expect to spend some time here.

Step 7

Find Ssessthrass in Swamp Of No Hope. First, give Ssessthrass Symbol of the Serpent (20644) to receive Scaled Symbol of the Serpent (20645). Next, give Ssessthrass Scaled Symbol of the Serpent (20645) and Manisi Herb (20654) dropped to receive Refined Manisi Herb (20650).

Step 8

Go back to Lake Rathetear. Bring a few people if you are only in your 50s.

1. Give Emkel Kabae in Lake Rathetear Refined Manisi Herb (20650) to receive Symbol of Testing (20647). Next up we have a fight.

2. Give Symbol of Testing (20647) to Kazen Fecae in Lake Rathetear to spawn 3 named mobs: a bone golem in Lake Rathetear, a failed apprentice in Lake Rathetear, and a tortured soul in Lake Rathetear. They spawn 1 at a time and a bone golem drops Twisted Bone Earring (20658) dropped (excellent tradable earring in era).

3. Loot Symbol of Insanity (20648) dropped from a tortured soul.

Step 9

Go to Plane of Sky and complete the quest for Cloak of Spiroc Feathers (1278). You will need three items:

Black Silk Cape (20783) dropped - Obtained by killing Keeper of Souls in Plane of Air on island 4. Uncommon Drop. The Keeper will spawn 30 min - 1 hour after the first mob on the island is killed. The Keeper also casts Death Touch.

Silver Disc (20938) dropped - Drops from azaracks on Island 2 - tradable

Spiroc Feathers (20782) dropped - Drops from various mobs on Island 3 - tradable

Once all three items are obtained, head to the Quest Room. Say, "i wish to be tested by jzil" to Drakis Bloodcaster in Plane of Air. Drakis will give you Shadowy Thoughts (18536). Give it back to Drakis to spawn Jzil GSix in Plane of Air.

Give Jzil Black Silk Cape (20783) dropped, Silver Disc (20938) dropped, and Spiroc Feathers (20782) dropped to receive Cloak of Spiroc Feathers (1278).

Step 10

Loot Slime Blood of Cazic-Thule (20655) dropped. It can drop off Dread in Plane of Fear, Fright in Plane of Fear, Terror in Plane of Fear, or Cazic Thule in Plane of Fear. It is also tradable so check the Bazaar.

Step 11

Go to Plane of Hate and loot Eye of Innoruuk (20656) dropped. This item drops from various named mobs in Plane of Hate. It is also tradable so check the Bazaar.

Step 12

Find Drendico Metalbones in Timorous Deep. Give Drendico Symbol of Insanity (20648) dropped to receive Journal of Drendico (18086). Next, give Drendico Journal of Drendico (18086), Slime Blood of Cazic-Thule (20655) dropped, Eye of Innoruuk (20656) dropped, and Cloak of Spiroc Feathers (1278) to receive Prepared Reagent Box (20653).

Step 13

Find Kazen Fecae in Lake Rathetear. Give Kazen Prepared Reagent Box (20653) to receive Tome of Instruction (18087).

Step 14

Go to Plane of Sky again. On the first island you will find a thunder spirit princess in Plane of Air. Give the princess 1 platinum. Doing so will spawn Gkzzallk in Plane of Air on island 3. Go up to Gkzzallk. Gkzzallk is inside the hut in the middle of the island. Other mobs should not aggro as long as you're inside. Give Gkzzallk Tome of Instruction (18087) to receive Gkzzallk in a Box (20652).

Final Turn In

Find Kazen Fecae in Lake Rathetear. Give Kazen Gkzzallk in a Box (20652) to receive your epic 1.0 Scythe of the Shadowed Soul (20544)!
