Summary

Paladin Epic 1.0 is broken down into four parts:

• Part 1 - SoulFire
• Part 2 - Ghoulbane
• Part 3 - Fiery Avenger
• Part 4 - Fiery Defender

Donors Only - If you use Miragul's spirit in Thundercrest Isle, you will be in Timorous Deep. You can then Evacuate on a Wizard or Succor on a Druid to have access to the Timorous Deep zone.

Donors Only - If you use Miragul's spirit in Thundercrest Isle and then go to East Freeport, you can speak with Translocator Setikan at the docks to access Ocean of Tears.

Part 1 Soulfire

SoulFire (5504)

Step 1 Faction

1. Raise faction with Priests of Life to Warmly (750) or better.

• Allakhazam ​faction guide
• Option 1: Give [NPC(2032, Lashun_Novashine)]] one unstacked Bone Chips (13073) dropped to increase faction. /con Lashun to check faction or use website tool.
• Option 2: Give Silver Bar (16500) dropped merchant one unstacked to Fixxin Followig in Northern Plains of Karana to increase faction.
• Option 3: Kill NPCs on ​this list that give positive Priests of Life faction when killed.

Step 2 Mistmoore

1. Find Xicotl in Castle Mistmoore in the "Spa" room. Placeholder is a Mistmoore guard in Castle Mistmoore.
2. Kill Xicotl and loot Glowing Sword Hilt (12197) dropped.

Step 3 Spider Venom Sac

1. Obtain Spider Venom Sac (14018) dropped. Tradable and looted from spiders in many zones.

Step 4 Altunic

1. Find Merko Quetalis in North Freeport in the Halls of Truth.
2. Say "What small task" to receive Note (18896).
3. Buy a Cloth Shirt (1004) dropped merchant from a merchant.
4. Find Altunic Jartin in East Commonlands
5. Give Note (18896) to Altunic.
6. Say "Where is your house" to Altunic.
7. Altunic will path 4730x -85 and spawn Squire Narl in East Commonlands.
8. Kill Squire Narl and loot Human Head (13867) dropped.
9. Return to Altunic and give Human Head (13867) dropped.
10. Give Altunic Cloth Shirt (1004) dropped merchant to receive Token of Generosity (13865).

Step 5 Farm Items

1. Loot Rat Ears (13072) dropped merchant.
2. Loot Fire Beetle Eye (10307) dropped.
3. Loot Snake Scales (13070) dropped merchant.

These from mobs in either Commonlands or West Freeport (Rats, Fire Beetles, and Snakes).

Step 6 Water Flask and Bottle

1. Buy Water Flask (13006) dropped merchant and Bottle (16598) merchant from a merchant.

Step 7 Crafting

1. Combine the following items in a Brew Barrel. Trivial 21.

• Water Flask (13006) dropped merchant
• Bottle (16598) merchant
• Snake Scales (13070) dropped merchant

to create Bog Juice (16581).

2. Combine the following items in an Oven. Trivial 21.

• Fire Beetle Eye (10307) dropped
• Rat Ears (13072) dropped merchant

to create Item(13498, edible goo?.

Step 8 Merko

1. Find Guard Willia in North Freeport.
2. Kill Willia and loot Token of Truth (13866) dropped.
3. Return to Merko Quetalis in North Freeport.
4. Give Merko Spider Venom Sac (14018) dropped to receive Token of Bravery (12144).
5. Give Merko Token of Bravery (12144) and Token of Generosity (13865).
6. Give Merko Token of Truth (13866) dropped to receive Testimony (18828).

Step 9 Tykar

1. Find Gregor Nasin in East Freeport.
2. Buy four Drom's Champagne (13829) merchant.
3. Find Tykar Renlin in East Freeport.
4. Give Tykar four unstacked Drom's Champagne (13829) merchant in a single trade to receive Bunker Cell #1 (12196).

Step 10 Prisoner

1. Find a prisoner in West Freeport.
2. Give the prisoner the following items:

• Bog Juice (16581)
• Item(13498, edible goo?
• Bunker Cell #1 (12196)

to receive H. K. 102 (12143).

Step 11 Sir Lucan

1. Find #Sir Lucan D`Lere in West Freeport. He is a Guildmaster so you can use Find to locate him.
2. Kill Sir Lucan to spawn Sir Lucan D`Lere in West Freeport skeletal form.
3. Kill the skeletal Sir Lucan and loot Testimony of Truth (18827) dropped.

Step 12 Valeron

1. Find Valeron Dushire in North Freeport. He is a Guildmaster so you can use Find to locate him.
2. Give Valeron Testimony of Truth (18827) dropped to receive Brilliant Sword of Faith (13947).

Step 13

1. Find Assistant Kiolna in High Keep near the bank.
2. Give Kiolna H. K. 102 (12143) to receive Sealed Note (18936).

Step 14 Soulfire

1. Find Brother Hayle in Infected Paw.
2. Give Hayle Sealed Note (18936) to receive Note (18937).
3. Give Hayle the following items:

• Note (18937)
• Brilliant Sword of Faith (13947)
• Testimony (18828)
• Glowing Sword Hilt (12197) dropped

to receive SoulFire (5504)!

Part 2 : Ghoulbane

Ghoulbane (5403) dropped

The second sword you'll need to obtain to get your epic is Ghoulbane. There are 3 options to get one. Option 1 highly recommended.

Option 1 Joren Nobleheart

1. Find Joren Nobleheart in Southern Felwithe. This is by far the easiest path but requires a few people to kill him in Kunark era. He is level 60. Other NPC's do not assist. He does not have any faction hits. He melees for just under 200. You can reach him by taking the middle teleport pad.
2. Kill Joren and loot Ghoulbane (5403) dropped. Always drops.

Option 2 Froglok Shin Lord

1. Find the froglok shin lord in Guk or the Fabled version. This is easily soloable but the froglok shin lord is a rare spawn and the Ghoulbane. He spawns in the most southwestern room of the zone. It is level 30.
2. Kill the shin lord and loot [Item(5403, ghoulbane)]]. Rare drop.

Option 3 Quested

1. Ghoulbane can also be obtained from a quest starting with Ryshon Hunsti in Western Plains of Karana. Options 1 and 2 are much easier and this quest is not outlined.

Part 3 Fiery Avenger

Step 15 Faction

Faction may not be needed - TODO

You will need to get faction (Ally recommended) with Deepwater Knights. Luckily this doesn't take very long! There are three methods you can use. However, the first one is vastly superior to the other two.

Method 1

Currently this does not work on EQTitan - Atdehim gives no faction on kill. Kill Atdehim Sqonci in Paineel. He gives +1000 faction and is on a roughly 5 minute respawn. Kill him a couple times to max your faction! He is level 45, fairly easy kill, and located inside the Cleric Guild. One other level 35 NPC next to him will aggro as well.

Method 2

Alternatively, you can kill Skeleton Guards in Paineel. Each kill gives 10 faction. The two in the noob yard instantly respawn. They are level 10 but hit for 120 and have a few thousand hp. You can also go into Paineel and kill guards, whom are weaker, but don't respawn instantly.

Method 3

Kill Kobolds in The Warrens. Loot Kobald Molar. They are very common. They do not stack so you'll need a lot of bag space. Turn them into Tiam Khonsir in Erudin. You can use the "FIND" feature to locate him. He is behind the Deepwater Knights building. You will get 5 or 6 faction per turn-in. This method is the slowest of the three.

Step 16

You can easily skip step 16 if you have a friend or alt who has the books already since the result of Step 17 ( Book of Scale) is tradable

• Loot Torn, Frost-Covered Book from any of the following:
  • Gorenaire in Dreadlands
  • Lady Vox in Permafrost
  • Faydedar in Timorous Deep
• Loot Torn, Burnt Book from any of the following:
  • Talendor in Skyfire
  • Lord Nagafen in Nagafen's Lair
  • Severilous in Emerald Jungle

Step 17

1. Find Rineval Talyas in North Qeynos.

Once you have both books, go to North Qeynos and find Rineval Talyas (-160, -345). Give her Torn, Frost-Covered Book, Torn, Burnt Book, and 1000pp to receive Book of Scale (tradable).

Step 18

Go to Ocean of Tears and give Book of Scale to Oracle of K`Arnon to receive Miragul's Phylactery.

Step 19

Head to Everfrost. You will need to find an opening in the frozen lake and swim to the underwater tunnels. You are looking for Lich of Miragul. He roams around in the caves. He will con as "KOS", however he doesn't attack and you shouldn't need to charm him to do the turn-in. I was able to hand it in with no problems. Give him Miragul's Phylactery to spawn Miragul. Kill Miragul and loot Miragul's Head and Miragul's Robe.

Step 20

This part will require two people so grab a friend and head to Plane of Sky. Don't forget to bring your SoulFire and Ghoulbane. Make sure your friend has 500pp. You will also need to be keyed for Island 4; only you need to be keyed, your friend doesn't. Have your friend go to the Quest Room. They can buy Efreeti's Key from Key Master on Island 1 to access it. Meanwhile you should head to Island 4. Island 4 (Pegasus Island) is the island with a big windmill in the middle. Stay inside the windmill.

Have your friend say "I wish to be tested by Dirkog" to Dason Goldblade in the Quest Room. Dason Goldblade will give your friend Walk with Evil. Give Walk with Evil back to Dason Goldblade to spawn Dirkog Steelhand. Give Dirkog Steelhand 500pp. Doing so will spawn Inte Akera in the Windmill on Island 4. Inte Akera only stays up for a few minutes which is why you need someone else to spawn him from the Quest Room.

• First, give Inte Akera SoulFire to receive Inte's First Blessing.

• Next, give Inte Akera Ghoulbane to receive Inte's Second Blessing.

• Finally, give Inte Akera Inte's First Blessing, Inte's Second Blessing, Miragul's Robe, Miragul's Head to receive Fiery Avenger!

Part 4 Fiery Defender

Fiery Defender

Fiery Defender is the final reward in the Paladin 1.0 Epic. It requires that you already have Fiery Avenger.

Step 21

Head to Neriak Forsest. Find Kirak Vil, Say "i am a paladin" to receive Tainted Darksteel Shield.

Step 22

Go to The Hole. You will need to kill Keeper of The Tombs and loot Tainted Darksteel Sword. Supposedly on a 3 day respawn (not confirmed). Take a group or two in Kunark era. In PoP era a couple of players should down him easily. Level 55.

Step 23

Go to Plane of Hate. Kill thought destroyer (-210, -590) and loot Tainted Darksteel Breastplate. Respawn timer unconfirmed. Level 55. No PH. A couple of groups might be needed during Kunark. In PoP a couple of players should be able to handle it.

Step 24

Go to North Kaladim. Find Jark. Say "I will get your dinner". This spawns Nella Stonebraids nearby in the temple area. Say "do you have jark's dinner" to Nella Stonebraids to receive Cold Plate of Beef and Bread. Go back to Jark and give him Cold Plate of Beef and Bread to receive Pure Crystal.

Step 25

Go to Northern Felwithe. Give Elia the Pure the Tainted Darksteel Shield to receive Gleaming Crested Shield.

Step 26

Go to East Freeport and find peasant woman (140, -550). Say "I will take it to him" to receive Bucket of Water. Give the Bucket of Water to Joshua, also in East Freeport (30, -470) to receive Bucket of Pure Water.

Step 27

Go to Erudin and locate Reklon Gnallen (can use "Find").

• First, give Reklon Gnallen Bucket of Pure Water and Tainted Darksteel Sword to receive Gleaming Crested Sword.

• Next, give Reklon Gnallen Pure Crystal and Tainted Darksteel Breastplate to receive Gleaming Crested Breastplate.

• Lastly, give Reklon Gnallen Gleaming Crested Shield, Gleaming Crested Sword, Gleaming Crested Breastplate to receive Mark of Atonement.

Step 28

Go to Plane of Fear. Bring your Fiery Avenger and Mark of Atonement. Give them both to Irak Altil to receive your Fiery Defender!!!
